Tax notices containing the Non-Ad Valorem Assessments and the Ad Valorem taxes are then mailed out by the Tax Collector to the assessed owners and addresses as shown on the certified tax rolls, normally on November 1st each year. In cases where the property owner pays through an escrow agent, the mortgage company should request and be sent the tax notice, the property owner would then receive a copy of this notice. Taxes are considered delinquent if not paid by April 1st of the following year. The following discounts are applied for early payment:
4% discount if paid in November 3% discount if paid in December 2% discount if paid in January 1% discount if paid in February No discount if paid in March Taxes become delinquent April 1st of each year.
When paying current taxes we accept cash, checks, and credit cards. Delinquent taxes will need to be paid in cash, money order, cashier's check or credit cards.
