COVID-19 Transactions

*We strongly recommend that you wear a mask when you come in for your appointment, to protect yourself and others.*
*Your appointment has been booked, check your email for a confirmation. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment you can call our office or reply to the confirmation email. If you can not make your scheduled time, please let us know so that we can open the time slot for another customer. There will also be some information on what to do when you arrive for your appointment. Use the information on this page and the links to ensure that you have all the necessary documentation for your appointment.*

Until further notice, our Lake City office lobby will be closed to the public due to COVID-19. The Drive-Thru will be open regular hours, Monday – Friday, 7:30am – 5:30 pm for limited transactions (The Drive-thru is open to Columbia County Residents only.)
Drive-thru transactions exclude Driver License Transactions and Concealed Weapon Transactions. Please note that our Fort White Office will not be opening until further notice.

As of 05/04/2020 we will be offering Driver License Transactions and Concealed Weapon Transactions by appointment only. (No Driving Skills Tests until further notice) If you schedule one of these appointments in our office please follow the following guidelines:

  • Columbia County Residents Only
  • We are asking that you limit each appointment to one person, except Driver License transactions where a parent and child must be present. 
  • Please arrive 5 minutes before your appointment time and no later than 5 minutes after your appointment time.
  • Please adhere to social distancing guidelines (remain 6 feet apart at all times)
  • Upon entering the building you will be subject to a health screening and temperature check via no-touch thermometer. Temperatures above 100.3°F will not be permitted into the service lobby. 

Below we have listed the transactions we can perform and how they can be paid for.

Driver License or Identification Card Services:

  • Columbia County Residents Only
  • All Appointments must be scheduled online for your driver license service to be performed in our office.
  • *We strongly recommend that you wear a mask when you come in for your appointment, to protect yourself and others.*
  • If you are renewing your license please determine if you are already Real ID Compliant and bring the corresponding documents;

Concealed Weapon Services:

  • Columbia County Residents Only
  • All Appointments must be scheduled online for your concealed weapon service to be performed in our office.
  • *We strongly recommend that you wear a mask when you come in for your appointment, to protect yourself and others.*
  • To ensure you have all the necessary documentation for your appointment please refer to this guide on the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Service’s website.
  • Licensing Fees can be paid via Cash, Credit, Debit, Cashiers Check, or Money Order, please note there is a 2.5% fee to use a card.

Car Tag Renewals:

  • Columbia County Residents Only
  • www.gorenew.com. This is the state’s official renewal website for motor vehicles.
  • US Mail at 135 NE Hernando Ave. Ste. 125, Lake City, FL 32055
  • Deposit of personal checks in the WHITE drop box in the parking Lot in front of the building. NO CASH PLEASE.
  • Our Drive-Thru which can be accessed on the right (south) side of the building. (Cash, Credit, Debit, Cashiers Check, or Money Order)

Handicap Parking Placards:

  • Columbia County Residents Only
  • FLHSMV Form 83039 required, signed by Doctor.
  • Bring form through our Drive-Thru to be processed.

2020 Property Taxes:

  • Property Taxes can be paid inside our office now, we allow one customer in at a time and you must consent to a health screening and temperature check upon entry.
  • Can be paid through our website with Credit, Debit, or E-check by clicking here.
  • US Mail at 135 NE Hernando Ave. Ste. 125, Lake City, FL 32055
  • Deposit of personal checks in the WHITE drop box in the parking lot in front of the building. NO CASH PLEASE.
  • Our Drive-Thru which can be accessed on the right (south) side of the building.

Property Taxes Prior to 2020:

  • Property Taxes can be paid inside our office now, we allow one customer in at a time and you must consent to a health screening and temperature check upon entry.
  • Cannot be paid by personal check
  • On-line with Credit or Debit by clicking here.
  • Money Order, Cashiers Check or other Certified Funds by mail
  • Money Order, Cashiers Check or other Certified Funds in the White Drop Box in the Parking Lot. NO CASH PLEASE.
  • Our Drive-Thru which can be accessed on the right (south) side of the building. (Cash, Credit, Debit, Cashiers Check, or Money Order)

 Motor Vehicle Title Transactions (Florida Titles Only):

  • Columbia County Residents Only
  • Can be deposited in the Drive-Thru for processing. Payments must be made at the time the transaction is dropped off and you will be called when the transaction is ready for pick-up. It can take up to 3 business days to receive a call for completed title work. Keep your phone close & check for messages.

Hunting & Fishing Licenses

  • Columbia County Residents Only
  • Our Drive-Thru which can be accessed on the right (south) side of the building. (Cash, Credit, Debit, Cashiers Check, or Money Order)
